Project Overview

A comprehensive commercial photography package for Navy Federal Credit Union's Washington DC branch at 1335 Wisconsin Ave NW. We documented the newly renovated 3,913-square-foot branch with HDR interior and exterior photography — including a twilight exterior shoot — and delivered a detailed floor plan for facility management. The branch features modern branded interiors with herringbone vinyl plank flooring, marble teller counters, glass consultation rooms, and Navy Federal's signature blue and gold design elements.

Our Process

How we approached this project from start to finish.

The Challenge

Photographing an active credit union branch requires balancing the institutional feel of a financial space with warmth and accessibility. The interior features a mix of fluorescent and LED lighting, branded blue and gold design elements, glass-walled consultation rooms, and reflective marble surfaces — each posing unique lighting challenges. The exterior needed to be captured both in daylight and at twilight to showcase the illuminated signage and welcoming storefront.

Our Approach

We used HDR bracketing and professional lighting to balance the mixed light sources throughout the branch, ensuring the branded blue walls, gold accents, and marble countertops appeared true to life. Wide-angle compositions captured the open floor plan and flow of member service areas, while detail shots highlighted branded elements. The twilight exterior was timed to capture the warm glow of the branch against a dramatic purple-blue sky.

The Result

Navy Federal received a complete visual asset package — 21 HDR photographs covering every area of the branch plus a detailed floor plan with room dimensions and total square footage. The images are used for facility documentation, internal communications, and branch marketing materials.
